Interview with Joe and Christine about CIVIC LIFE & TIONG BAHRU

As TIONG BAHRU heads off around Australia as part of the Travelling Sydney Film Festival and plays as part of the inaugural Dublin Contemporary visual arts exhibition, in this interview, recorded at the Tiong Bahru market on the day after we finished shooting, directors Joe and Christine talk about the CIVIC LIFE process, the development of the Singapore project and the experience of shooting in the historic estate and much loved hawker centre.

For details of coming dates of TIONG BAHRU screenings, visit the Travelling Sydney Film Festival website, here or go to the Dublin Contemporary site.

Check out this special event on 27 September, in which Dublin Contemporary curator Liliana Rodrigues discusses the moving image, focussing on TIONG BAHRU and the other outstanding examples of the genre being exhibited at Dublin Contemporary 2011.
